Jasmine Peglar

Jasmine graduated from Newcastle University in 2019 with a Batchelor of Arts with Honours degree in History and Politics. She went on to complete her master’s degree in law at BPP University in 2024 and is currently working hard to prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams, after which she will qualify into the corporate team at Nash & Co Solicitors.

Prior to entering the legal field, she worked in recruitment, business development and event management, including working at the Devon Chamber of Commerce. This background has helped her cultivate strong client relationships and develop a well-rounded commercial awareness. 

Since 2022, Jasmine has been working as a Corporate Paralegal at both local and international firms, gaining valuable experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional Private Equity transactions. Jasmine enjoys building lasting partnerships with clients and supporting them through a variety of corporate matters

Notable matters that Jasmine has dealt with include:

  • Supporting the successful £5.6 million sale of a renewable energy company, to include conducting the due diligence process, reviewing the transaction documentation and working closely with advisors to ensure a smooth acquisition process to meet the Sellers objectives.

  • Supporting the successful £6.2 million sale of a long-established, family-owned motor industry business that began in Cornwall and expanded into a thriving enterprise with a £30 million annual turnover.

Her day-to-day work includes business sales and purchases, company reorganisations, management buyouts and drafting other business contracts such as:

  • Shareholder, partnership and LLP Agreements

  • Cross-option agreements

  • Employee Share Schemes (EMI)

  • Franchise Agreements

  • Consultancy Agreement

  • Terms & Conditions

Outside of the office, Jasmine enjoys cooking, hiking, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her cats, Cocoa and Nutty.
