When faced with a legal issue, the last thing you should be worried about is your financial situation. This is where a “no win, no fee” arrangement can be valuable in ensuring you receive what you are entitled to. Here is how no win, no fees cases work, and how they can help you.

What is No Win, No Fee?

No Win, No Fee is an arrangement between a client and their lawyer, allowing them to pursue a claim without having to pay for legal services upfront. Put simply, if your case is unsuccessful, the client will not have to pay their lawyer’s fees, helping to reduce the financial risk and worry associated with pursuing legal action.

How does it work?

When you approach a lawyer with a potential claim, they will assess your case to deem if they believe there is a reasonable chance of success. In the event they believe there is, they will offer to take your case on a no win, no fee basis.

If the lawyer is successful in obtaining compensation on your behalf the compensating party will also pay some of the legal fees. The remaining part of the fees will be deducted from the compensation subject to limits agreed in advance.

What are the benefits of No Win, No Fee?

This arrangement provide clients with several advantages, including being able to explore what you could be entitled to without the worry of financing your claim.

Not only that, the arrangement provides you with further confidence that your lawyer is motivated to achieve the best possible outcome for you, due to their fee being dependent on your case’s success.

Is No Win, No Fee right for me?

No win, no fee cases are suitable for a wide range of legal issues, such as personal injury claims and medical negligence. A discussion with an experienced lawyer regarding your specific circumstances will enable them to evaluate your claim and provide personalised advice on what would be appropriate for your specific case.
