Over 95% of post 16 students progress into employment, education or training schemes, which is significantly higher than the national average.

The city is also home for over 50,000 students engaged in a huge range of studies at various locations, including the University of Plymouth, Plymouth Marjon University, City College Plymouth, and Plymouth College of Art.

Plymouth is home to many annual events, such as the Plymouth Half Marathon, Flavour Fest, Armed Forces Day, Seafood Festival, and Bonfire Night and the city also hosts a range of internationally recognised occasions including the Rolex Fastnet Race, the British Firework Championships and MTV music events.
