Here at Nash & Co Solicitors, our events have a great reputation. We don’t believe in running events for the sake of it. Our goal is for you to walk away from one of them, having really enjoyed it, got a lot out of it, met some interesting people, and wanting to know when the next one is!
The events tend to book up pretty quickly. Our record is 60 tickets sold in 2 minutes 32 seconds! So it’s always worth signing up to our events mailing list if there is something below that interests you.
Obviously right now, it’s pretty tough to run events. The safety of our guests and our staff is of paramount importance to us. The Government has given the go ahead to run small events for 30 or less people, but from the feedback we’ve had, we just don’t think people are ready for this kind of thing yet.
But we will return! We’re thinking Spring 2021, but we’ll be in touch with you if it’s going to be any different! For now, have a look through the different events that we run below and sign up for our mailing list so that we can keep you up to date when we do eventually return again!
Success in Business
We run Success in Business every 6 months. It’s normally held in the function suite at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.
Here we bring together some of Plymouth’s top businesses – both large and small – for a morning of networking and discussion lead by a series of expert speakers. Attendees are sat on tables with 8 others and one of the experts who leads the discussion. We make sure there is always time for questions so that you can get the answers that you need. Every 20 minutes, we rotate the speakers so that in just under 2 hours, you’ve all had the chance to hear from and speak to each of the speakers in the room.
It works, and we get some superb feedback too – from those attending, and the speakers too! We’re never short of people wanting to speak, and tickets always sell quickly.
We hold Empowering Women every 6 months too, but we offset it against Success in Business. This means there is an event every quarter. These events are normally held at Kitley House, just outside of Plymouth.
Empowering Women is the perfect mix of experienced and inspiring speakers and the chance for you to build quality relationships with the speakers and the other attendees. Oh, and we like to have a little fun along the way too! We’ll have 5 or 6 fantastic speakers who we ‘recruit’ based on the requests of attendees. And we’ll only ever have 40 attendees maximum – anymore, and we just wouldn’t be able to guarantee the quality of the event.
If I had to use three words to describe this morning’s #empoweringwomen event by the team at Nash & Co Solicitors LLP, I would say AUTHENTIC INSPIRING HERO’S. So good to talk with some of the region’s finest business women and hear from thought-provoking, inspirational speakers.Lisa Brammer, Bistrot Pierre
Feedback from our first Empowering Women, was perhaps the best we’ve ever had for one of our events. Immediately following the event, we had hundreds of mentions, photos, likes, follows etc on social media. And we even had people asking if they could reserve their place then and there for the next one.
Cycling is the new golf in terms of business! And that’s something we definitely don’t want to miss out on – especially considering our sponsorship of the Great South West Sportive!
So we decided to create networking on bikes – a cycle network. This usually runs first thing in the morning, on the last Wednesday of the month between April and October. But again, all things considered at the moment, we’ve taken the decision to postpone and look to run them again in 2021. In the meantime, please check out out Guidelines for taking part.
We usually meet at the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym in Derriford and go cycling for an hour and a half. We have a great group of people taking part and when you return, you get endless tea/coffee and bacon baps!

Due to the GDPR regulations, we can only contact you about these events if you sign up below. It would be pretty embarrassing for a law firm to get caught out by that!
